Shoulders down! Learning to Breathe and Relax.

Shoulders down! Over the past four weeks, I’ve been telling myself to relax my shoulders and breathe. It’s a small command, but it’s made a huge difference.

I have been walking around with my shoulders practically up to my ears, holding my breath without realizing it. Health practitioners and healers told me, but I always dismissed their advice—I thought I had more important things to do.

But I was wrong. By relaxing my shoulders, breathing, taking breaks, and walking around the block, I’ve found my productivity and creativity increasing. (Research backs this up, but I had ignore that too.)

My strong unconscious belief that constant worry and drive would lead to better outcomes was complete BS.

Now when I notice myself focusing too hard, driving too much, or straining, I remind myself that I am decreasing my success. Learning to breathe and relax is changing me.
